Although I love nothing more than grinding my own beans, there is a lot of appeal to the recent growth in the the ready-to-brew coffee maker market. [easyazon-link asin=”B000FCRLLE”]Nespresso[/easyazon-link] has been a staple of the modern european kitchen for years. While visiting Geneva many years ago I was introduced for the first time to [easyazon-link asin=”B000FCRLLE”]Nespresso [/easyazon-link]. Being a coffee lover, I was initially fairly sceptical of a ready-to-brew solution, but the taste immediately swayed me over.
[easyazon-link asin=”B000FCRLLE”][/easyazon-link]The great benefit of the [easyazon-link asin=”B000FCRLLE”]Nespresso system[/easyazon-link] is the consistency. Each capsule is air sealed and although there is a huge range of different brewing machines available, almost all of them use an identical pump mechanism and share other internal components. The main difference between machines comes down to the capacities to hold water and spent capsules or other gadgetry such as robotic arms that retrieve the capsules! (Which I must add, does add to the entertainment while not affecting the taste.
Immediately upon returning from my trip I invested in a new [easyazon-link asin=”B000FCRLLE”]Nespresso Essenza C100[/easyazon-link] machine and purchased the ‘Welcome Kit’ which included a sample of capsules as well as a beautiful display box.
While on the weekends or when I have more time I still enjoy grinding my own beans and brewing a cup from scratch Nespresso is perfect for when guests are over or when you’re in a rush and need a still superb cup.
